The second round of the Second Legislative term of the Arab Parliament kicked off on Tuesday at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum, with Sudanese President Omar el Bashir participating.
Egypt is represented by Chairman of the parliament's Arab Affairs Committee Saad el Jamal and MP Shadya el Gamal in the opening session.
Participants are scheduled to discuss the current Arab conditions in light of regional crises and efforts exerted by the Arab Parliament to shore up the joint Arab action.
The meeting is also to focus on the sustainable development as part of the Arab national security within the framework of the Arab sustainable development strategy for the years (2015-2025), as well as the identification of the joint Arab action priorities and the activation of the Arab agreements and guiding laws in accordance with the outcomes of the regular conferences of the heads of Arab parliaments.
Over the past two days, the Arab Parliament's committees convened to discuss a host of important issues related to the Arab political and foreign affairs and national security, in addition to social development in the fields of education, culture and women, youth and children affairs.
