The Abu Dhabi Customs Department is participating in the now-running 37th GITEX Technology Week 2017, showcasing its latest technologies, including the Customs Operations Management System, Dhabi, and the Fault Management and Monitoring System.
The Fault Management and Monitoring System provides all the data related to detection and fault monitoring devices, with the possibility of knowing the dates of preventive maintenance schedules and the availability of equipment as well as measuring the operational efficiency of each device.
The Customs Operations Management System provides more than 150 different customs services, including customs clearance, electronic linking, audit and inspection engines, dynamic risk engine, gate management system, and automated return and insurance system. It also facilitates customs procedures and limits human intervention, reducing time and effort while increasing data accuracy.
Salem Saeed Al Rumaithi, Executive Director of the Technical Affairs Sector – General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs, stressed the administration’s keenness to participate in important regional events because of their role in introducing the latest technological innovations.
"GITEX constitutes an important platform for exchanging experiences in the customs clearance sector. The General Administration of Customs – Abu Dhabi is ardent to stay up-to-date on the latest systems and technologies, and to strengthen co-operation with its strategic partners from the public and private sectors, to develop programmes and systems that enhance the efficiency of customs work as well as innovate the customs clearance system in accordance with international best practices," he said.
The Abu Dhabi Customs’ smart initiatives are part of the emirate's digital drive to enhance the quality of services and facilitate user access, delivering fast, efficient, and modern solutions that will delight customers, and help consolidate the UAE's capital as a global business and regional hub for digital transformation.
