In a press release, Spokesman for the Arab League chief Mahmoud Afifi said Abul Gheit, who just returned from his two-day visit to Iraq, expressed support for the Iraqi people and government in their fight against terrorism and powers of darkness.
He made clear that sacrifices offered by Iraqi people not only secure their country but also the entire region.
During his visit, Abul Gheit met with Iraqi President Fuad Masum, Prime Minister Haidar Al Abadi, parliament speaker Salim Jabouri and Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari.
