The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, ADM, in collaboration with the Waste Management Centre – Abu Dhabi, Tadweer, has launched an awareness-raising campaign targeting visitors to temporary winter camps. The campaign aimed to stress the importance of protecting the public appearance and the environment from all sorts of disfiguring elements and pollutants.
The campaign stressed the importance of keeping countryside clean, and throwing trash in designated bins as Tadweer has distributed several litter bins near these camps. During the campaign, ADM and Tadweer heeded to comments and suggestions made by citizens about the best ways of making this winter season a success. They highlighted the importance of observing hygiene practices in throwing trash, and the positive uses of camps in line with the required standards.
The municipality called on citizens to comply with the terms and conditions related to the use of countryside and winter camps, and contribute to maintaining the positive appearance and protecting the desert environment nearby those locations.
The municipality has located the areas in which countryside and winter camps are allowed namely Al Khatm - Al Wafiya Al Gharbiya, Al Haffar, and Al Khatm – Bu Theeb.
