Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has participated in several highly-targeted international events to promote the infrastructure of Abu Dhabi’s state-of-the-art Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE ) and attract international associations and organisers to host their events in the UAE capital.

Khalifa Al Qubaisi, Acting Chief Commercial Officer of ADNEC, said, "Our participation in these landmark events aims to discover new partnership opportunities and showcase our unique capabilities and proven expertise in successfully hosting several top-of-the-line global events. Our presence at these events helps support ADNEC’s mandate to raise Abu Dhabi’s profile as a leading MICE destination in line with our commitment to supporting the development of a knowledge-based economy in the emirate."

ADNEC participated in 84th UFI Global Congress held in Johannesburg, South Africa from 1st to 4th November, 2017. The event convened over 400 event professionals including CEOs, young leaders, and international experts from more than 50 countries to examine how businesses can thrive in today’s fast-changing exhibition industry environment.

From 12th to 15th November, senior officials from ADNEC participated in the 56th Congress of the International Congress and Convention Association, ICCA, held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The event convened 1,200 MICE experts from 79 countries and enabled the exchange of the latest industry trends and know-how.

ADNEC also participated in the 30th anniversary edition of IBTM World that ran from 28th to 30th November, in Barcelona, Spain and included over 100 networking events and ‘knowledge sessions’ across three days.

On the sidelines of these events, ADNEC’s officials engaged in a series of productive meetings and networking sessions with participating officials and event professionals from across the meetings, incentives, conferences, events and business travel industries. They also highlighted Abu Dhabi’s unique advantages as a destination of choice for hosting international events such as its state-of-the-art venues, cutting-edge facilities and connectivity with key international markets, among others
