The 13th conference on Arabisation will be organised next April at the Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Saudi Arabia.
The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) paid tribute to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saudi for approving the event.
The 13th edition will be held at King Abdullah Institute for Translation and Arabization, an offshoot of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
The conference convenes at least once every three years in one Arab State to discuss the promotion of Arabization and the development of modern Arabic scientific and cultural terminology.
ALECSO Assistant Director-General Dr. Mohammed Abdulbari Al-Qudsi stressed the crucial importance of translation and Arabisation in building bridges between peoples and civilizations and transferring sciences and knowledge.
In a statement issued from Tunis-based ALECSO headquarters, he said that the conference would focus on challenges facing the Arab Language, as the cornerstone of Arab identity and a tool of communication amid fast educational and scientific strides.
