The diplomatic efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have resulted in persuading the European countries and other countries in support of the Dutch draft resolution calling for the establishment of an international commission of inquiry, in Yemen, to withdraw their draft resolution, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The Arab draft resolution supporting the Yemeni National Committee for Investigation was supported for the formation of a group of international experts, in the field of human rights by the High Commissioner.
The resolution adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council at its current 36th session here today is an extension of the Council's 33rd session issued in September 2016.
The adoption of a single resolution based on the Arab project is an advanced step made thanks Saudi Arabia’s efforts at the bilateral and multilateral level as well.
