The Awqaf Ministry warned against manipulating seclusion in mosques during the holy fasting month of Ramadan to serve political or sectarian purposes.
In statements on Thursday, Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar said seclusion in mosques during Ramadan will have certain regulations.
He added that the ministry will announce mosques in each district where seclusion will be allowed.
He added that Awqaf and Azharite imams and preachers will be present in the mosques to be declared by the ministry to ensure that the seclusion rules are being observed.
He cautioned that legal measures will be taken against anyone who violates such regulations.
