A regional parliamentary meeting focusing on empowering Arab youth will be held on the 2nd of October under the patronage of Shura Council President Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh.
The Shura Council will host the key event, in cooperation with The Arab Parliamentarians Forum for Population and Development and the Asian League for Population and Development.
Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, hailing royal support for Bahraini youth.
He commended the plans and strategies outlined by the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, hailing the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
He also hailed the key role, played by His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affair, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
He stressed the keenness of the Shura Council on empowering youth, stressing the key role played by this category in the development and progress of their society. He underlined in this regard the establishment of a permanent youth committee affiliated with the Shura Council.
Representatives of eighteen GCC, Arab and Asian parliaments will take part in the regional meeting, which will discuss ways of drawing up efficient mechanisms to empower youth empowerment.
