Head of the Manama Civil Defence Centre, Captain Mohammed Abu Al Fateh has stated that as part of the directives of the Interior Minister and follow-up of the Chief of Public Security, the General Directorate of Civil Defence is equipped with the latest equipment and facilities and dedicated to further promoting the skills of its personnel.
He told Al Amn radio show that the civil defence teams reached the site of the oil pipeline fire near Buri within three minutes of reporting the case and carried out the necessary evacuation, fire-fighting and cooling operations.
Meanwhile, the Head of Hidd Civil Defence Centre, Captain Ali Mohammed AL Miran said that after the fire had been controlled, the teams searched for dangerous or toxic substances in the site to carry out the necessary cleansing.
He also hailed the cooperation of residents of Buri with the teams to help them carry out their duties.
