The Dar Al Ber Society, DABS, has honoured 50 of its orphans for their excellent performance at different grades across the country at its headquarters on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
Present at the ceremony were Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, Executive Director of DABS, Hussain Murad Al Balochi, Manager of the Orphans and Families Department, Abdulazim Mohammed, Manager of the Technical Office, and lecturer Abdullah Lashkuri, Manager of the Positive Energy Centre.
Abdullah bin Zayed said that the UAE has always been a land of giving and commitment, setting a shining exemplary example in supporting and giving for humanity, along with adopting goodness, compassion, tolerance and affection. "The orphans are part and parcel of a productive society that shows them love, looks after them, and cares for their success and progress. It is the responsibility of us all to assist this vulnerable segment of the society."
The Dar Al Ber Society runs a variety of activities and events all year round to socially and psychologically support its listed 33,166 orphans, 32,332 locally and 834 around the world.
