Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri held a phone call with Libyan Presidential Council Chief Fayez Al-Sarraj and discussed the political and security situation in Libya. Shukri affirmed his country's support to the steps taken by the Presidential Council to bolster its ability to assume its responsibilities and protect the Libyan people's interests.
The minister said that his country is following-up ongoing developments in Libya, adding that Cairo will spare no efforts to support stability, peace and national entente in Libya. He commended the crucial role of the Libyan army in combating the scourge of terrorism and reinstating stability in many Libyan cities.
