The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has organised the Divisional Excellence Forum, to exchange the best excellence practices applied between divisions, and share the knowledge, experiences, initiatives and projects launched by authority’s various sectors, to enhance its leading position locally, regionally, and globally.
The forum, which was held at DEWA’s Warsan office, supports DEWA’s efforts to ensure a culture of excellence between different sectors, and rank first in all areas, in line with the directives of Dubai’s wise leadership.
The forum was attended by over 200 employees. Distinguished initiatives from various sectors were reviewed, including knowledge management, innovation, and institutional performance development.
A panel discussion was held with a number of representatives of the divisions, where they discussed ways to spread and disseminate knowledge, and ways to utilise these initiatives. At the end of the forum, the public selected the best two initiatives, and winners and participating teams were honoured.
"The Divisional Excellence Forum is an important platform for the exchange of innovative and creative ideas among DEWA’s divisions. At DEWA, innovation is a key pillar in the development of services, initiatives, strategies and action plans. This comes in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and supports the Dubai 10X initiative, which sets the Government of Dubai on a mission to be a global leader that is 10 years ahead of other cities, through government innovation," said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
