The UAE relief team at the Emirati-Jordanian camp for the Syrian refugees in Mrajeeb Al Fhood, yesterday responded to the call of a Syrian refugee who appealed for a wheelchair for her disabled mother through one of the local Jordanian satellite programmes.
Mohamed Abdullah Al Shamsi, Director of the Emirati Jordanian Camp responded to the appeal and directed a relief team to visit the residence of the family in Jordan's Governorate of Mafraq, which presented the wheelchair, and other relief items including blankets and winter clothing as well as foodstuff.
The cooperation between the UAE and Jordan is in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent.
Emirati-Jordanian camp for Syrian refugees in Mrajeeb Al Fhood, east of Jordan's Al Zarqa province provides humanitarian and relief services inside and outside the tent.
