The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) signed an agreement today to upgrade the sewage network in the governorate of Aden, at a total cost of AED3 million.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr. It provides for raising the network's operational capacity by replacing the dilapidated drainage pipes and joints.
Bin Daghr commended the UAE's humanitarian efforts in Yemen and referred to the vital role played by the ERC in the liberated governorates of Yemen.
Mohammed Saeed Al Ketbi, Director of the ERC office in Aden, said the assistance was part of the UAE's approach to help the brotherly Yemenis overcome the difficulties caused by the Houthi coup.
