Under the patronage of HE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and in the presence of HE Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces Major General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, the fifth edition of Doha International Strategic Policies Forum organized by the Center for Strategic Security Studies in cooperation with Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) kicked off here on Sunday under the theme of ' Qatar-Turkey: The Strategic Vision for Middle East Crises.' The two-day forum which is attended by 150 local and international personnel as well as a number of decision makers, politicians, diplomats and academics from all around the world discusses a number of issues and regional developments through five sessions.
The first day's Sessions will review the topics of 'International Balance in the Region: Facts and Dimensions'; 'Gulf Countries: Strategic Vision for Union Against the Challenges and Geopolitical Barriers and Construction of New Alliances'; 'Turkey: Expectations and Difficulties - Political Project and Regional Problems'.
On the second day includes one Session on 'Military Difficulties in the Region, Alliance Construction, Conflicts of Projects and Military Competition' in addition to a panel discussion on 'Managing Political and Military Disputes in the Region in Extraordinary Situations.
