Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC), received on Tuesday Bidhya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepal, who is currently visiting the country to attend the international health forum, "Reaching the Last Mile – Mobilising Together to Eliminate Infectious Disease", which begins tomorrow in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Al Qubaisi and President Bhandari exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments including the situation in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Libya, stressing the importance of realising world security and stability. They also condemned terrorist acts against innocent people and recognised the vital need for international coordination and cooperation to counter all forms of terrorism and dry up sources of its financing.
President Bhandari expressed her country's desire to bolster ties of friendship and cooperation ties with the UAE.
