Jordan has welcomed the full liberation of the Syrian city of Raqqa and the collapse of the Daesh terrorist group and its alleged caliphate.
The Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted Mohammad Momani, State Minister for Media Affairs and government spokesperson, as saying that Jordan will continue its effective ideological, military and security role in the Global Coalition against Daesh, adding that military victories should be followed by security and ideological victories.
The minister stressed the need for comprehensive ceasefire in Syria as well as a political process based on UN Security Council Resolutions 2254 and 2015 that meet aspirations of the Syrian people.
