Knowledge Group, KG, the MENA region’s leading training, development and consulting organisation, donated 75 boxes of clothes and children’s toys to Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, as part of the Group’s "WeCare" Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives.
Working in close partnership with Abu Dhabi University and in line with its "Year of Giving Strategy 2017", the donations of clothes and toys were collected from faculty, staff and students across the University’s campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to benefit the Emirates Red Crescent projects in the UAE and internationally.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Ahmad Badr, CEO of Knowledge Group, expressed the Group's keenness in organizing this campaign for the second year in a row, especially as the donation drive drew an outstanding response that resulted in 75 donation boxes this year compared to last year’s 25 boxes.
"At KG, we believe in giving back to the community and bringing about positive change that promotes the culture of giving and social responsibility as well as the values of compassion and philanthropy. On behalf of everyone who participated in the campaign, we’re very proud to present these humble donations to the Emirates Red Crescent in the hope that we contributed in making a real difference that benefits people and supports the ERC’s humanitarian and relief effort projects", said Dr.
Badr.
The Knowledge Group’s "WeCare" initiatives undertake a range of projects specifically aimed at making a positive social and economic impact, utilizing knowledge and resources to help address specific regional issues. The initiatives vary to cover Education, Society, Health, and the Environment.
''ADU Year of Giving Strategy 2017" is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and President of Abu Dhabi University’s Board of Regents.
