Kuwaiti former minister of trade and industry Hisham Al-Otaibi has passed away at age of 70.
Al-Otaibi, born in 1946, had a BSC degree in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in the United States, and served as minister of trade and industry in 1998, after working as director general of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE), according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
He also occupied several important posts in a number of Kuwaiti, Arab, and British companies and organizations such as the Contracting and Marine Services Company, Kuwait Drilling Company (KDC), Kuwait Hotels Company, Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium (KREIC), Kuwait International Investment Company (KIIC), Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA), Kuwait Supreme Petroleum Council, Global Marine Construction Company, Al-Ahlia Investment Company, Portsmouth Industrial Company, UK, and Global MENA Financial Assets Limited (GMFA), UK.
