Kuwait renewed its continuous support of the Palestinian case, pledging to continue pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop its illegal practices that contradict international legitimacy resolutions, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported Thursday.
The remarks were made by Kuwaiti's Representative to the UN Ambassador Mansour Al Otaibi during his Wednesday speech at the Security Council to discuss latest developments in the Middle East.
He noted that setting a clear-cut schedule is important for continuing negotiations between the Palestinian and the Israeli sides to reach a two-state solution.
Al Otaibi said the illegal Israeli polices aiming at Judaizing Al Quds and tarnishing the Arab identity of Al Quds are still going on in addition to continued settlement activities on the Palestinian lands.
He stated that the international community stands helpless towards the Palestinian case, stressing that Kuwait refuses all unilateral Israeli steps meant to fake the truth.
He said Kuwait welcomes with open arms the Palestinian reconciliation, lauding the Egyptian efforts to reach a national accord between Fatah and Hamas.
