Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al-Mannai, has extended, on behalf of all Muharraq citizens, heartfelt congratulations to the leadership, marking Eid Al-Adha.
Speaking during the “Haya Baya” heritage festival, held along the Busaiteen Coast, the governor said that the Muharraq citizens value highly His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s support to the governorate’s celebrations of national occasions, as well as efforts to revive authentic national heritage.
He affirmed that the Heritage Day has always enjoyed the support and patronage of HM the King’s sons and daughters.
He underlined the governorate’s keenness on holding the “Haya Baya” festival, given its role in preserving the kingdom’s long history.
The festivity featured participation of productive families, folk dishes and handicrafts exhibition for the members of Al Jasra Centre, and folk songs performed while children were throwing the “Haya Baya” (small round woven baskets) on the sea.
