Egypt seeks to promote Arab solidarity in the face of the various challenges facing Arab states, he reiterated.
The remarks were made on the sidelines of Chatila's meeting on Tuesday with Egypt's Ambassador here Nazih el Nagari, during which they reviewed ongoing conditions in Lebanon and in the Arab region.
The two sides also discussed means of boosting ties between Cairo and Beirut.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian diplomat reiterated Cairo's keenness to preserve Lebanon's unity, security and stability.
Egypt continues to help Lebanon in all fields to overcome the difficulties it faces, Nagari said. Cairo is open to all Lebanese parties, he added.
