LebanesePM surprised over gulf states` travel warning

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Miqati expressed on Saturday surprise towards the travel warning to his country issued by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Bahrain, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
The NNA said that Miqati had contacted in this regard a number of officials at the Gulf Cooperation Council, inquiring about the reasons behind the recent calls by the foreign ministries of the three countries that advise their citizens not to visit Lebanon this summer.
According to Miqati, such measures were uncalled, as the security condition in Lebanon is good and the recent incidents that have occurred have been solved.
The UAE, Qatar and Bahrain on Saturday urged their citizens to avoid travel to Lebanon, where clashes in the northern port city of Tripoli have left 10 people dead.
Miqati implored the aforementioned states to reconsider their decisions, adding that all visitors to Lebanon are most welcome, especially Arab brethrens.
