Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa today gave directives to the Inspector-General and head of the permanent committee to follow up on reports of the National Audit Office (NAO) to take the required steps to review Interior Ministry-related recommendations in the annual report 2016-2017.
The minister asserted the importance of reinforcing transparency, integrity and accountability principles in all matters related to public money, as part of the interaction with the supervisory authorities, to achieve comprehensive development and build capabilities to serve the nation and protect its achievements.
The Interior Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to the NAO for its keenness to enhance the performance of all government sectors and achieve the required transparency to improve services provided to the public.
