Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza has received Member of Parliament (MP) Khalifa Abdullah Al Ghanim to discuss various issues pertaining to services provided by the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) to citizens.

The minister praised the MP’s sincere efforts in discussing cooperation between the executive and the legislative bodies in achieving their aspirations as well as improving the quality and efficiency of these services.

The minister briefed the MP on the plans and programmes of EWA's Sustainable Energy Unit and plans to improve the quality of the services. He also briefed the MP on the latest developments in renewable energy projects and the steps taken to encourage investment in solar energy.

The MP praised the efforts of the minister and officials in working to improve the quality of services. He stressed that enhancing the means of communication and continuous meetings between the executive and legislative bodies will result in achieving many developmental aspects.
