Housing Minister Bassem bin Yacoub Al-Hamar participated in a discussion session entitled “Services and Environment” staged on the sidelines of the Governmental Forum 2017 held under the patronage of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and at the initiative of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
The minister stressed keenness to improve housing services in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the royal directives on building 40 thousand residential units in accordance with the Government Action Plan 2015-2018. He said 15,655 units have been delivered within the ministry’s plans and Mazaya project, in addition to promoting partnerships with private sector, developing housing policies and finding financing solutions for citizens.
He said the ministry aims to be transformed from a housing service provider to an organizer by broadening cooperation with the private sector to ensure sustainability of the housing file
