The Organisation of the Islamic Conference, OIC, has condemned the attack that took place in the city of Las Vegas on Sunday night, killing more than 50 people and injuring hundreds.
Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, OIC Secretary-General, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and the US people and government, wishing the speedy recovery of the injured.
He also expressed his deep regret at the occurrence of such heinous criminal and terrorist acts targeting civilians, reiterating the firm position of the organisation against all forms of violence and terrorism.
Dr. Al-Othaimeen stressed that terrorism is associated with no particular faith, race or nationality, highlighting the need of concerted efforts to combat terrorism on the local, regional and international levels.
