His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has offered his condolences to the family of Emirati martyr Captain Pilot Khalid Mohammad Al Shehi, whose aircraft crashed due to technical failure while he was performing his national duties as part of the Saudi-led coalition’s operations in Yemen.

While visiting the mourning majlis in Al Qadfa area of Fujairah, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the martyr, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace, and grant his family patience and solace.

Sheikh Mohamed spoke to the family and described martyrs as symbols of pride who sacrifice their lives courageously and inspire people to support their brothers in need.

"While praying to Allah Almighty to rest their souls in peace, we stress that we will always appreciate and remember their sacrifices which draw the way for hope and wishes, as they exemplify a role model and a lesson which reflects their strong will and determination. Their sacrifices will be in the memory of the country and history," he added.

He also praised the sacrifices of Emiratis and deemed them a legacy gleaned from their forefathers' loyalty and wisdom while building this precious homeland.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun, Director of the Martyrs' Families' Affairs Office of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince; Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and Major General Staff Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alawi, Commander of Air Force and Air Defence, also offered condolences along with Sheikh Mohamed.
