Egyptian Ambassador in Juba Ayman Mokhtar said a proposal on establishing an Egyptian-S.Sudanese committee is being examined.
The committee will be entitled with implementing infrastructure projects and preparing their feasibility studies, Mokhtar said in statements to MENA on Tuesday.
He said one of the main obstacles hampering the flow of Egyptian investments into South Sudan is the shabby infrastructure, especially concerning roads and energy stations.
He said Egypt is trying hard to help South Sudan to realize stability, considering as "good" the initiative tendered by South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit on holding national dialogue.
He urged the international and regional communities to render the overture successful because it will be the best way to realize stability and pave the ground for holding presidential elections in 2018.
Mokhtar highlighted the deep and amicable ties between Egypt and South Sudan, noting that there is continued coordination between the two countries, especially with regard to the South Sudan file at the United Nations Security Council.
He noted that Egypt established six water stations in five districts in Juba.
Clashes between South Sudan rebels and governmental forces in July hampered Egypt's commencement of two projects; a fishery and a livestock and milk production venture.
Under a contract signed between the two sides, Egypt should have started the project in June 2016.
