The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman has announced that the AED35-million Al Salam Street is 40 percent complete.
Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Director of the Department, said the vital road project was expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2018.
''The department is committed to implementing projects that serve the local community and facilitate easy flow of vehicular traffic,'' he stated during an inspection tour of the project where site engineers updated him about the progress of work.
Engineers said the storm-water system on the road is 65 percent complete.
