Means of boosting cooperation between the UAE and France have been discussed between Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, MOHRE, and the French Ambassador to the UAE, Ludovic Pouille.
During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry in Abu Dhabi, they reviewed the legislation and policies governing the labour relations in the private sector, and a number of initiatives implemented by the MOHRE in the framework of providing protection for labour and ensuring the interests of employers, which resulted in raising the efficiency and productivity of the labour market in the country, including French companies.
Minister Ghobash and Ambassador Pouille also reviewed the Domestic Workers Law and its role in protecting the rights of both parties.
The two sides stressed the keenness of both countries to enhance cooperation and benefit from experiences to achieve common interests.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Omar Alnuaimi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Communication and International Relations at MOHRE, and French government officials.
