Sharjah - Arab Today

 H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah and President of the American University of Sharjah, AUS, today met with John G. Rice, Vice Chairman of General Electric, GE, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, which was held at AUS headquarters, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed welcomed the GE Vice Chairman, adding that Sharjah laid the foundation of science and knowledge as the basis for development and progress to become a leading destination in various fields.

The parties discussed common issues of scientific and technological importance and discussed ways of cooperation in research, development and innovation. They also reviewed vital areas of mutual interest to promote economic and social prosperity, based on the foundations of public-private partnership.

The meeting was attended by officials and members of AUS Board of Directors.
