H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an administrative Resolution No. 12 of 2017, for allocating permanent headquarters of the Arab Writers Union in Sharjah.
The Resolution confirms the Sharjah Ruler's strong belief on the importance of the significant role played by the Arab Writers Union and his keenness on supporting and encouraging them to practice their effective cultural role, which would contribute to enhancing the Arab cultural heritage and the cultural and literary march in the Arab world.
The administrative Resolution stipulates that, subject to the relevant federal and local legislation, the permanent headquarters of the Union of Arab Writers shall be allocated in the Sharjah Book Authority's headquarters.
The Resolution shall be effective from the date of issuance and other competent authorities should implement its provisions. The Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette.
