Essebsi arrived in Cairo on Sunday on a two-day visit to Egypt for talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on a set of Arab and regional issues of common interest.

Talks are expected to cover the situation in Libya, Syria, Yemen as well as efforts exerted to combat terrorism which has become an escalating threat for both countries.

The two leaders will also discuss the outcome of the Joint Higher Committee meeting held in Tunisia in September.
