Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Lebanon, Hamad Said Al-Shamsi, received on Friday at the Embassy's headquarters a delegation of the Higher Relief Commission headed by Major General Mohammed Khair.
General Khair praised the important and pioneering role played by the UAE, in the field of relief and support to the Lebanese government and the host community, especially in light of the large number of displaced Syrian born by Lebanon.
Ambassador Al Shamsi, in turn, stressed that "the UAE is committed to the humanitarian and relief work and it attaches great importance and priority to it and gives it the most important space in its belief in the importance of helping, alleviating suffering and preserving human dignity. This is a culmination of the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the year 2017, under the name of 'Good Year
