A 'Comic Craze' workshop, recently held at the Al Qattara Arts Centre, invited participants to explore the creative process of using different elements and materials to create a final comic and animated art piece. The workshop was inspired by the Comic Craze Exhibition which is running until 13th November at the same location.
During the workshop, children, teens and adults created various art pieces, including acyclic canvases, which depicted the UAE’s desert environment, along with other pieces such as cartoons and drawings.
The event also highlighted the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi’s vision, which seeks to support emerging creative talent in the region and offer artists and participants a platform from which they can seek creative inspiration and develop their skills.
The Comic Craze Exhibition is an opportunity to learn about the significant role that visual arts play on digital and traditional platforms, and features a wide selection of art and animated films, including examples of comic books, web comics and many more.
