Daesh terrorist group claimed responsibility for Friday's attack that hit Imam Zaman mosque in Afghan capital, Kabul, killing at least 39 people.
In a statement, Daesh said that one suicide bomber walked into a mosque in the capital Kabul and detonated an explosive device, Sky News channel reported on Saturday.
But the statement from the group did not provide evidence to support its claim.
At least 72 people, including children, have been killed in two separate suicide attacks on mosques in Afghanistan.
A separate suicide bombing struck a mosque in Ghor province in central Afghanistan, leaving at least 33 people killed, an Afghan security spokesman said.
