One of the members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) was killed in an attack by the rebels in southeastern Iran on Friday.
"The IRGC contingent...was attacked by a terrorist group on the outskirt of the Jakigour region in Sistan and Baluchestan bordering Pakistan," Tehran Times daily reported.
One member of IRGC forces was killed and three others were injured in the clash following an attempt by the armed group to cross the border, the report said.
"The terrorists were pushed back by the Iranian forces and could not achieve their evil goals," Majid Aqa Babaei, an interior ministry official, was quoted as saying.
Jaish al-Adl, or "Army of Justice" has claimed responsibility for several attacks on Iran's border posts in the past years.
The Sunni rebel group claimed to fight for the rights of Sunni Muslims in the Iran's provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan.
