The death toll in AMRI hospital fire tragedy, in Kolkata, has shot up to 62, an official Indian source said.
The hospital has been completely evacuated and the search for trapped people is still going on, it was revealed.
The victims' bodies were transferred to another hospital in the city and families were asked to identify them.
The fire had earlier broken out in the basement of the 7-storey building. Investigation is still underway to identify the reason behind the incident.
A total of 85 patients out of about 160 have been rescued so far. The death toll is expected to go up.
