Awqaf minister condemns Mar Gerges Church blast in Tanta

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has strongly condemned the "terrorist attack that occurred earlier Sunday in Mar Gerges Church in Tanta.
In exclusive statements to MENA, Gomaa said that Churches should be protected just like Mosques, adding that Copts and Muslims are partners in the homeland.
"We should stand united in the face of terrorism," he affirmed.
He, meanwhile, called for supporting the Armed Forces and the police in the war against terrorism.
A bomb exploded on Sunday morning in Mar Gerges Church in Tanta, leaving at least 21 people killed and several others injured.
The bombing took place during a Palm Sunday Mass.
