Libyan House of Representatives Speaker Aguila Saleh Issa and Deputy President of the Presidential Council Ali Qatrani Sunday denounced the terrorist attack on Copts in Menia and asserted full solidarity with Egypt in confronting terrorism.

In a message to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Libyan speaker expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the innocent victims who were martyred in such a heinous and cowardly attack in Upper Egypt on Friday.

Qatrani in a statement on Sunday voiced full support to the air strikes launched by Egypt against terrorist groups in Egypt and Libya and expressed absolute solidarity with Egypt in facing terrorism which is striking Egypt and Libya.

He asserted that everybody is well aware that such terrorists aim to create sedition among the Egyptians. "They will never succeed," he said.

He pointed out to coordination between Egypt and Libya in launching the air strikes in order to confront terror which should be faced strictly.
