Apple unveiled its 2018 lineup of iPhones to the world.
Dubai - Arab Today

Earlier this week, Apple unveiled its 2018 lineup of iPhones to the world. The new models are expected to be in stores on September 21. Apple UAE's website is currently accepting pre-orders for the iPhone XS and XS Max. The entry level XR on the other hand will be available for pre-order from October 19.

With the new models coming soon, Apple has reduced the prices of its older lineup of iPhones from the 6S all the way to the X. The availability of the models varies by country.

In the UAE, customers can get the iPhone 7 and later models. In India, the lineup of old models includes the iPhone 6S, according to an NDTV report. In the Indian market, the 32GB iPhone 6S can now be bought for only Rs29,900 (Dh1,500 approx). It originally cost Rs42,900 (Dh2,200 approx) at the time of its release.

In the UAE the Apple website no longer lists the 6S; the oldest models available are the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. According to the website, the iPhone 7 now costs Dh1,899 for the 32GB variant whilst the 128GB version can be had for Dh2,319. For the 7 Plus it costs Dh2,399 for 32GB and Dh2,819 for 128GB. During its release, the 7 started from Dh2,599 while the 7 Plus started from Dh3,099.

Last year's iPhone 8 and 8 Plus models can also be purchased for less. The 64GB and 256GB iPhone 8 now cost Dh2,549 and Dh3,179, respectively. The 8 went for Dh2,849 and Dh3,479, respectively, when it was released in October 2017. The 8 Plus continues this trend in reduced prices with the 64GB and 256GB models now going for Dh2,969 and Dh3,599, respectively, a far cry from their original Dh3,249 and Dh3,879 price tag.

For this year's lineup, the cheapest of the bunch will be the iPhone XR which starts at Dh3,179. You could get last year's top-of-the-line 8 Plus by adding a small amount!
