HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, and President of the Chechen Republic HE Mr Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov, attended the closing ceremony of the Chechen International Mixed Martial Arts Championship.

During the event, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa crowned the champions while the President of the Chechen Republic crowned the runners-up.
On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his pride in the strong competitive levels HH witnessed during the event, reflecting the fighters' combat abilities which stem from serious preparations.

"MMA sport in Chechen is moving steadily towards development and prosperity. The sport is also flourishing in the Kingdom of Bahrain thanks to the high patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which has contributed to many great achievements on various levels," HH Shaikh Nasser said.

"The Kingdom of Bahrain has an exemplary experience in MMA sport, with more technical and administrative development underway. The Chechen Republic also has a pioneering experience in this sport," noted HH, pointing out the importance of benefiting from mutual experiences and building a link between the two sides to develop this sport in both countries.
HH Shaikh Nasser praised the efforts of HE the President in the service of Chechen sports at all levels and stressed that the presence of HE Mr Kadyrov comes within the framework of HE's keenness on the success of all sports events held in the Chechen Republic.’

Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser commended the organisational and administrative measures taken by the championship’s operating committees, which affirmed the great potential of the Chechen’s cadres and their ability to handle the burden of hosting various sports competitions.

Finally, HH Shaikh Nasser wished the Chechen youth and sports movement more progress and prosperity in various competitions.
