Ethiopian athlete Adhiana Gebret Sadik on Sunday won the 28th Marrakech international marathon.
Sadik crossed the finish line in 2:08.55, ahead of Moroccans Hicham Laqouahi (2:10.24) and Salahedine Bounaser (2:10.25).
In the women’s category, Ethiopian Ashu Kasim Rabo won with a time of 2:30.18.
Kenyans Beatrice Jelagat Cherop (2:31.07) and Alice Jepkenboi Kibore (2:32.28) came second and third respectively. Over 8,000 runners took part in this year’s edition.
