Turkish Airlines announced today the resumption of flights from Istanbul Ataturk International Airport, after hundreds of its flights were canceled there due to weather conditions.
Anadolu Agency reported today that many passengers began this morning handing their luggage in preparation for the flight resumption. The authorities had halted flights to sweep the snow that had accumulated on the runways.
Istanbul has seen heavy snow over the past three days that cancelled close to 640 flights, including internal ones.
