Progress in tourism sector initiatives were discussed during a meeting of the Tourism Sector Steering Committee on Sunday.
The meeting was held under the chair of Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrzi, Minister of Tourism and attended by the execution and follow up support unit team to follow up the latest initiatives of the National Programme to promote economic diversification.
It discussed progress in the sector’s overall initiatives.
In the annual event evaluation, the committee agreed to entrust the management of the event activities to Oman Sail as it has practical experience in the field of organising events and has the appropriate team. The committee discussed the investment project in the Qurum Natural Reserve, which is expected to be submitted to bidding in accordance with the requirements.
