Tunisian FM Khamis Al Jhinaoui praised the decision made by the United Arab Emirates to lift the visa restrictions for Tunisians, adding that the decision came to assure the strength of Tunisian-UAE diplomatic relations.

The Tunisian Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that the U.A.E. authorities have officially informed them with the lifting of these restrictions which lasted for two years, after a series of contacts made by Al Jhinaoui, with senior Emirati officials, in particular, with his counterpart Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyane, during his last visit to Abu Dhabi on February 1 and 2, 2017.

This initiative helps to strengthen the fraternity ties between the two countries and to promote bilateral relations in all fields in the service of mutual interests and in accordance with the two people’s expectations, according to a statement issued by the ministry.
