There are many similarities between the politics of the Israeli government and its US supporters, and the post-1933 Nazi politics. The common point between the two consists of a great deal of insolence in committing crimes then coming up with excuses for them. There aren’t six million Palestinians for the Benjamin Netanyahu cabinet to kill like the Nazis did with the Jews. However, this cabinet is killing the people for whom it can find excuses to kill, such as the last attack against Gaza that left more than one hundred victims including dozens of children. The killing during the former Gaza war was more intense, and so was the killing during the war against Lebanon in summer 2006. Since the launching of the second intifada on September 29, 2000, thousands of Palestinians were killed. I will however focus on the martyrdom of 1,500 Palestinian children below fifteen years of age against only 135 Israeli children, i.e. a ten to one proportion – a Nazi proportion par excellence. I am writing this on the backdrop of the annual AIPAC conference, or the conference of the Israeli lobby, where the Congress members come together to pledge their loyalty to a racist occupation country that has no right to be on the Palestinian lands. In his speech, the Israeli prime minister said that he agreed with President Obama on discussing the following three topics during Obama’s visit to Israel this month: - First, Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons; - Second, the deteriorating situation in Syria; - And third, the need to find a responsible way to advance the peace with the Palestinians. To this I say: “First, Iran owns no nuclear weapons while Israel, a neo Nazi state, owns a nuclear arsenal. Second, the revolution against the Syrian regime has nothing to do with Israel. In the event that it succeeds, the opposition will be a fierce enemy to Israel. Third, peace with the Palestinians is the first, the last, and the most important point.” Netanyahu, the war criminal, destroyed the peace process when he headed the Israeli cabinet between 1996 and 1999. Thus, President Bill Clinton did not have enough time to complete the peace process before leaving the White House in early 2000. Netanyahu is a war criminal by birth and by practice. He was still a teenager when he took part in destroying civilian planes in the Beirut Airport in late 1968. He then proudly wrote about it. They are all terrorists. The Congress members chose the day when social health insurances for the poor Americans were cut down to come up with a non-binding resolution indicating that the USA should fight alongside Israel in the event of an attack against Iran. Thousands of pro Israel traitors flooded the Congress to demand a non-reduction of the aid to Israel while the Americans are suffering from a severe financial crisis that hit at least fifty million Americans. In order to be brief, I will only discuss one example, that of Jennifer Rubin, a pro-Likud journalist who writes for the Washington Post, whose opinion section hosts the most despicable Israeli supporters. Rubin focused on a statement of Vice President Joe Biden – who had said at AIPAC that “any politics are personal politics” – to criticize what she dubbed as President Obama’s despise and animosity towards Netanyahu. She further criticized Obama’s appointment of Chuck Hagel as a minister of defense when Hagel is known for his animosity towards Israel. The entire world is against Israel and its crimes. Some pro-Likud American and Israeli websites published reports indicating that the European Union despises Israel; that every American university has student organizations opposing Israel; and that the Christian churches are calling on their followers to boycott Israel. Since I attend the annual meeting of the UN’s General Assembly, I was able to see the entire world applauding President Mahmoud Abbas and the UN police shielding him against a flood of members who came to shake his hand. I also saw Netanyahu abstaining from standing to shake hands with the participants because no one wanted to shake this terrorist’s hand. The Israeli crimes will not be covered up by the editorial page of a US newspaper. --- The views expressed by the author do not necessarily represent or reflect the editorial policy of Arabstoday.
