Gujarat University (GU) officials released on Tuesday a tentative schedule of the university exams. GU vice-chancellor M N Patelsaid that GU has declared holiday on three days — April 29, 30 and May 1 — in the wake of Lok Sabha elections. Gujarat goes to polls on April 30. GU officials said that the exams will begin with the BEd semester-II exams which will be held from April 10. From April 12, semester-VI exams of BA, BCom, BSc, BBA and BCA will begin. The next phase of exams will begin from April 24 where semester-IV exams of MA, MCom, MSc will be held. The semester IV exams of BA — both regular and internal — BCom, BBA, BCA will also begin from the same date. Exams of second semester of BSc will begin from April 24. After this, the GU exam officials have kept a break keeping the LS polls in mind as the staff of the university will be deputed for poll-duty training. After three-day break, the last phase of exams will begin from May 8 where semester-II exams of BA, BCom, MEd, MSc, semester-IV exams of BSc and semester I, II, III exams of LLM will be held.
